Eggs & Ears Race
# Participants: 10+ (the more the better)
Age Suitability: 5 – 10
Equipment: (based on 6 teams)
6 hard-boiled eggs
6 sets of bunny ears (easy to make)
6 spoons
6 small containers
Type of Game: relay race
Description:
split class into equal teams (we are splitting you people into 6 groups of 7 people)
have the teams line up single file on a starting line
first person from each team starts with a spoon and an egg balanced on the spoon
they quickly walk/run to a container (whatever distance away that you want) while keeping the egg on the spoon
they put the spoon and egg down, pick up the bunny ears that are beside the container, put them on and hop back to the second person in line
the next person puts on the ears, hops to the container, takes off the ears, picks up the egg on the spoon and hurries back to the next person in line
This continues until every team member has gone and everybody is sitting!
Objectives: fun, exercise, co-ordination, and teamwork
Leadership Suggestions: Have a cloth ready to clean up eggshell, and have some extra hard-boiled eggs
Safety Measures: Hard-boil the eggs!
Bunny Nose
# Participants: 10+ (the more the better)
Age Suitability: 5-13
Equipment: hard-boiled eggs or plastic eggs
Type of Game: relay race
Description:
split the class into equal teams
divide each team so that half of them are in single file behind one line, and the other half is in single file behind a line about 5 meters away, and they are facing each
other
the first person on each team rolls an egg with their nose to the team member across from them and passes off the egg
the second person rolls it back with their nose
this continues until all have gone and they are sitting
Objectives: fun, exercise, and teamwork
Leadership Suggestions: Have extra eggs on had if using real eggs
Safety Measures: Have paper towels on hand and make sure the eggs are hard-boiled
Problems: Some kids do not like the competition of races so concentrate on the fun aspect of the game
Name of Game: Egg Hunt
# Participants: any number
Age Suitability: all
Equipment: eggs and clues
Type of Game: Active
Description: Each group begins with a clue which will lead them to there next egg. Each egg contains another clue leading them to another egg. The hunt can be any length and with any number of easter clues. Have the group finish all in the same place.
Objectives: Have fun and group cooperation
Suggestions: Make the clues easter oriented and varying in difficulty depending on the age.
Safety Measures: Supervision may be minimal if you are using a bigger area, so for younger children use a smaller area (i.e. classroom).

Bunny Jump
Ideal # of Participants: 20 or more
Age: 5 and up
Equipment: N/A
Type of game: active
Description: Children stand in pairs, holding hands and forming a circle. One child is designated "it" (the bunny) to start the game. The bunny goes around the circle and touches the hands of two children standing together and says "bunnies jump". The two children hop around the circle in opposite directions. The last one back to their original position is now the bunny. The bunny remains in the place of the two children.
Objective: hop around the circle as fast as possible
Leadership suggestions: allow the game to last long enough so that most people have a chance to participate
Safety measures: ensure the playing area is free from obstacles. As well, make sure the players are aware of the position of their partner when they pass each other while hopping around the circle.
Problems: the same children could get picked numerous times, while others do not
